To Tell The Truth
via boingboing, here's a great old clip of "To Tell The Truth", where a panel had to guess who was the real William Gaines (created of Mad Magazine).
i remember an interview with Gaines from something (maybe Comic Book Confidential) where he said that his dad invented the comic book format by seeing how everyone folded their newspapers on the train. they'd fold them in quarters and be so comfortable with that size, that he decided to publish something that was already basically a folded newspaper size. brilliant!
